Church is not what is done on Sunday but what occurs during the week as we go about our daily lives.  God calls us to share Christ’s love to those around us.  One of the most important roles of Family Ministry is to equip believers to bring faith into their homes and help them reach out to their neighborhoods.  For parents we provide quality resources for taking up the God-given role of raising up our children in the Lord.  We provide resources for families to be proactive about having a “Family Night” devoted to connecting with God as a family.

 

 

We're approaching the finish line, with one Can't Wait Date left! Here's what we have in store for March: Women’s wedding rings typically have diamonds in them, a.k.a. “rocks.” While some “rocks” are more like pebbles, there is one thing true about diamonds: They are ROCK SOLID. Movie in your PJ's is the theme for March's Can't Wait Date childcare. Bring the kids on March 2nd, in their PJ's, and go enjoy your date! First Kids Concessions will be open, offering hot dogs, popcorn, chips, and other various foods to fill your little one's tummies! We'll open at 6pm and the movie should conclude by 8pm…which means don't come back a minute before 8pm! We want you to enjoy your date! Please RSVP by February 19th by signing up at one of the family ministry check-in spots, or by emailing Patty Farthing.

Our church has a tradition of giving Bibles to our third graders each year. This year we will take a few Sundays to teach the kids about the Ten Commandments. We’ll also have a special class with the parents and the kids to talk about the importance of using their new Bible that will be presented to the students.

Patty Farthing will be leading the class from 10:20-–11:30am on February 19th and 26th and on March 4th in the teachers’ lounge at Barkstall School. The Bibles will be presented at the beginning of the worship service on March 11th. Then, a special class for both parents and kids will follow the presentation.
