First Presbyterian Church of Champaign takes seriously Christ’s mandate calling us to care for the weak, sick, homeless, famished, those in prison and others with special needs. We believe that communities such as Champaign-Urbana need a broad base of church and synagogue support to discern and speak out on the social needs of the community, and then act accordingly to address these issues. 

We invite you to shine your light with us. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
