Debbie Clasey

Debbie started at FirstChurch as a receptionist in 1998 and has since moved into the role of accounts payable and payroll. She also gives clerical support to Church Carlson, our associate pastor. “FirstChurch has a varied congregation and a lot of opportunity for growth. I would like to see a New Member process developed at FirstChurch that will integrate both campuses.”

Prior to working at FirstChurch, Debbie was a teacher and the Administrative Secretary for the VP of Finance at Mercy (Provena) Hospital. She and her husband, Jeff, have three children: Ryan, 23, Tyler, 20, and Eryn, 15. Debbie is active in Centennial High School booster programs and NIU athletics.

1. How did you first start coming to FirstChurch?
   I worked at MMO and Jeff and I wanted a church home for our children.
2. What is one thing you love about FirstChurch?
   The friendly and caring congregation members.
3. Little known fact about yourself:
   I swam in the Junior Olympics when I was 12 years old.
4. Favorite book:
   James Patterson mysteries.
5. Favorite vacation spot:
   California or Hawaii.
