Youth Program Opportunities

First Presbyterian Church of Champaign is fully committed to families, children and youth. This means not just the Session, not just the parents, but literally hundreds of people, each doing a task, who form a team to make it possible to reach out to about 165 children every Sunday morning, 45 teens weekly, 130 elementary and middle schoolers on Wednesday nights, 150 kids through Wonderful Week plus a lot of little ones in various childcare classes. Even if you don't want to work directly with the children or youth, perhaps you could help with a behind-the-scenes task. Please look through this listing prayerfully, asking God where He would use you in the coming year.

You are welcome and encouraged to sign up in more than one category.

Steps to Volunteer

  1. Look through the various opportunities listed below.
  2. Pray asking God to show you where He wants you. Presbyterians believe that all Christians are given special gifts to be used for God’s work. The Bible promises blessings to those who use those gifts.
  3. To ask questions about various positions you are interested in or to indicate your willingness to serve in a particular ministry, click on the underlined name of the director of that area at the end of the section.

Wonderful Week

Wonderful Week (our Vacation Bible School) will be held in conjunction with the First United Methodist Church, across State Street, again this year.
