Ministries

First Presbyterian Church of Champaign has vibrant ministries for children, youth and adults. We invite you to explore the various ways that FirstChurch can minister to you and how you can serve the community.

Children grow in their relationship with Christ during Education Hour, available at both of our campuses on Sunday mornings.

During the summer, FirstChurch offers Vacation Bible School.  This year VBS will be a family affair.  

Wednesday Connections is for K-5th grade kids and their families.  Join us on Wednesday nights for food, faith, fellowship and FUN!

Middle school youth also meet on Wednesdays from 6:15 -7:30 pm.  While the program runs from 6:15-7:30 pm, students are invited to join us for dinner at 5:45 at a cost of $5/week.

Confirmation (8th graders) meets on Sundays at 6 pm. The class is led by Pastor Chuck Carlson and Interim Director of Family Ministries Leslie Barr.

High school students gather for Sunday Night Youth Club for an evening of fellowship with students from schools around the area.

Presbyterian Women is open to all women in the congregation to nurture faith through Bible study, to participate in the mission of our church both at home and worldwide, to educate our members in issues of justice and peace, to provide a small-group experience for friendship and spiritual growth and to build a caring community of women who help in many ways to strengthen our church.

There are also several ministry opportunities for adults, congregational ministries, ways to be involved in the prayer life of the church and in music ministry. We welcome your involvement at any level.
