TIMES Center

The Transitional Initiatives and Men’s empowerment Services Center (TIMES Center) provides a transitional living program for men who are homeless and operates a community soup kitchen open to anyone in need for both lunch and supper. The mission of the transitional living program is to empower men through a structured program of support services to achieve independent living as well as to prepare “men who are homeless to re-enter society as contributing community members.” Services for men include meals, individualized case management, onsite groups and classes, mental health and substance abuse assessment, counseling, referrals, laundry, and showers for 50 men in an open transitional dormitory. An additional 20 men who have “graduated” to Level II of the program live in 10 semi-private rooms. The center welcomes donations of food, men’s clothing, toiletries, laundry and cleaning supplies, and food. They invite volunteers to help with meal service, classes, and health services.
